Q: How does it work?
A: You redirect your emails to our SBS by changing your MX record (we can help with this if necessary), when our system receives your message we pass it through the following filters.
• Black List
• White List
• Header analysis
• Body of the message analysis
• Attachment analysis
• Attachment Virus Scan
• Threat Analysis
After your message has gone through the above process it is either tagged as 'spam' or genuine email ('ham'). Genuine email is then forwarded onto your own mail server. Any email recognised as spam will be quarantined should you wish to review it via the client portal.

Q: Should I be even thinking about using your service?
A: If you get SPAM, Phishing emails or other unwanted content – then yes.

Q: How would I use your system?
A: In normal ‘day to day’ use you wouldn’t even know it was being used. The service is totally transparent to the end user, apart from the noticeable drop in SPAM of course!

Q: Can I interact with the service and view my quarantined emails etc?
A: Yes you can, using the SBS Portal you can login and view all of your emails that have been marked as SPAM or have dangerous content, and if necessary you can release any emails being held into your inbox.

Q: How do I know if an email has been scanned by the SBS?
A: Entries will be made the email headers such as: ‘X-MantisComputing-MailScanner: Found to be clean’.

Q: How do I report an email as SPAM?
A: This is easy; just click the link that gets added to the bottom on the email that says:
‘This message was scanned by Spam Block Service and is believed to be clean.
Click here to report this message as spam.’
